Hey all, looking for any help or advice on this matter.
Got an old computer with a 7600 GS 512meg that has the 7 pin S-video out.
I connected a regular 4 pin S-video cable from it to my Sharp LCD (About 4 years old) and the colors were fine, however the picture was off, images blurred etc.
So I went and bought some gold plated component cables (30 bucks at walmart, phillips cables) and used the 7 pin s-video to component dongle that I got with my new 4770's, and now the picture is crisp, but all the colors are green.
    No purples either, just pinks.
I fiddled with the color settings (nvidia software) for a long time to try and balance then, even the colors on the tv (luckily each input on the tv has it's own settings) and I just can't get the colors to balance at all.
    Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks!

  2. You're using an adapter from your 4770 with the 7600 GS? Are you sure the pins are the same? There is no universal standard for those 7 pin DIN to s-video/component/vga adapters. Graphics card manufacturers change the pins around all the time. The default color settings on your TV should have been close to correct.
