Is it possible to use TDA to edit a VTS (PGC) and then using DvdRemakePro, replace it over the original VTS PGC? If so any tips?

What I want to do is keep all the motion menus, buttons etc, as is, and just edit the actual movies (it's a series dvd.)

Or what programs would you use to be able to import an existing motion menu w/ buttons, (if its actually possible to export this menu?) and add the same # of VTS but were edited in TDA?

Hope I'm describing what i'm clearly

  2. Just use the 'Replace' button in VobBlanker to replace an edited DVD Video. If it winds up shorter than originally though, you'll mess up the chapter points. This guide talks about replacing the menus in a DVD Shrink reauthored DVD, but the principle's the same. You can probably skip everything before Step 6:

    To replace PGC content:

1.Delete all video blocks of the old PGC in Programs tab (select all + use delete key)
2.Copy the edited PGC from the second project and use 'Append Copied PGC' from right-click menu, called for that old empty PGC.
3.Enable audio/subpicture tracks for the imported PGC in Audio Tracks/Subpicture Tracks tab(s)' edit submenu.
4.In VTS 'Titles' restore chapter registration (mainly by repeatedly using space/enter keys).
Previously make sure you have the same number of programs in the imported material (editable in Programs).
    5. In some cases (never for DVDs authored with TDA) you might need to restore old program numbers mentioned in PGC pre-commands (some authoring programs address chapters this way). If they are reset, DVDRemake shows red highlighting.
6.Sometimes in post-commands calling a VMG menu PGC is used with 'resume cell #' attribute. This is also reset to 0 when you delete blocks, then change it back to '1'.
May seem a bit lengthy, but it's easy and reliable.

Ok so step 2 the second project you are talking about would be TDA not a second project opened in DvdRemake? If that is the case I don't have the option to 'Append Copied PGC' it's greyed out.

Ok so I tested it by just replacing one set of PGCs and the test dvd seemed to work fine. Now I just need to edit all the other PGCs and replace the original ones with these new edited ones.

As you already guessed, I had meant the second project, opened in DVDRemake for the replacement source (the one you prepare in TDA). Everything imported with the opened projects is accessible to for exchange.

Hmm... So I Appended Copied PGC, enabled the audio

I don't understand Step 4? "4.In VTS 'Titles' restore chapter registration (mainly by repeatedly using space/enter keys). "

This did happen "DVDRemake shows red highlighting. "

Changed them back to 1, but dvd won't play correctly. Starts up fine in dvd player Both Main and Sube motion menus work. When I hit play all dvd stops. If I hit episodes button, i can then choose an EP individually and it plays fine, but at end of each one the dvd just stops

I'm going to go through it all over again to double check things.

When you expand Video Title Set # in DVD tree there is shown 'Titles' for it (in red so far). If you highlight it, the VTS title structure (in chapters) is shown in the right pane. Each Chapter # is assigned to a Program # in the PGC representing a title. Since in Step 1 all programs were deleted, this mapping is reset (to max register value and it's in red) but you see the same number of chapters. If you have the same number of programs in Programs tab you can quickly assign them back to the same chapter # #.
Highlight Chapter 1 in the list and use 'space' key: this opens 'edit chapter' menu Select Program 1 (assuming you have as many programs as chapters in the PGC) and hit 'enter'. When you do it for next chapter, the program will offer the proper (next) program # , so all you'll have to do for finishing it, is (highlight next chapter)+space+enter.
