It seems my LSX encoder (3.5) has a 2GB import file limit. Whenever it gets to about the 2GB mark it says frame unreadable. LSX says this is a limitation of a VFW program and virtual dub will work with it and get me around it. HOW? they seem to be quick to take my money but not quick to tell me how to get around this. I have tried capturing in segments but this doesn't seem to work either. Any ideas? or anyone have this problem?
I am running Win XP so no there is no 4G file limit on my end.
thanks a million

why you used LSX if CCE sp and Tmpgenc are the best of the best out there dont waste your time with that

  I am using Tmpg right now. I think it is pretty good and all but personally I like the speed and quality that the LSX gives me. Although the limitation is driving me nuts so for now I will stay with Tmpg but it is slow and a little more blocky for my taste.

Dear Chubs,
What you have to do is capture video in segments (I use Avi_io) then open the segments in virtualdub 1.48 (you can also filter and resize in vdub...) then FRAMESERVE to LSX: Now there is no 2gib limitation. I have encoded 8 gigabytes of .avi files this way... no problems... you say you are running XP but with fat32 or ntfs?
PS pm me if you want my ligos svcd profile its quite good...
Ligos 3.5 does rock...
