Anybody using this product in the USA, OZ or the UK.

    HDHomeRun™ Networked Digital TV Tuner

    http://www.silicondust.com

Saw it for sale in JB HiFi Perth Western Australia.

Looks interesting but a little pricey (A$299)

    Any feedback would be good

I've used one for about eight months and it works great. I use it off my HDTV OTA antenna and get about 27 channels. The tuner seems fairly sensitive. My local cable is SD and one downside is it doesn't tune SD TV, so I haven't tried it with a HD cable signal. You can use VLC Media Player for display or use MS Media Center or a couple of other display programs. It gets a great picture. And HDHomeRun is good about updating the firmware/software.

You can use the second tuner for cable or another OTA hookup. That way you can have two different channels on different computers at the same time. I had a bit of a problem installing it as I needed the Mac address and it's internet address for my router to find it. The instructions weren't clear about all that. But once the router saw it, no problems since.

It shows up on your network as 'HDHomeRun'. If you R click on it there, it will take you to their website and you can download the latest driver or firmware. Handy if you hook up a new computer as it's almost automatic.

I paid about $160US for mine on sale.

I would recommend it if you have a good LAN system in your house as you only need to plug it into your LAN for all the computers to be able to view HDTV. That's easier than having to string coax to each computer and add a tuner card. It also works fine over my 'G' WiFi hookup to my laptop. I use WPA2 AES encryption on my router's WiFi and that doesn't seem to cause any problems with the signal.

Got a really good write-up in a recent Australian Personal Computer, if you want something on the network.
