I have a BlackmagicDesign Intensity Pro card, and I'm going to capture my hdmi signal from my camera.

I bought Microsoft Expression Encoder 2, but this software is not compatible with the card.

So I'm looking for other software that captures my hdmi signal to a high quality wmv format. Does somebody know good software for doing this ?

The enclosed MJPEG codec is normally used. Better is Cineform. Or you can add a huge RAID and capture uncompressed.

    Then encode to wmv non-realtime.

  3. I usually capture with the blackmagic's encoding software to avi then import into TMPGENC Express 4. Or I use Adobe Premiere CS3 and capture directly to the MJPEG Codec they provide. Again thou i dont think you're going to be able to do a simple one stop shop solution with any software to get it to WMV. I could be wrong on this one, however i have been using the Black Magic card for a while now and have solved almost every problem in the book with it as far as encoders/decoders/capturing softwares go. So feel free to as me anything you need. By the way good choice of capturing card!! I love mine.
