I have a video where I have created motion menu which all looks great within pinnacle, but as soon as I render the video to DVD format (Video_TS) the menu appears as blank green screen. I have read about solutions where updating graphic cards and drivers, but I have been able to successfully create other videos of same type with menus working perfectly and i'm positive its not my graphic card or drivers since I created another video with menus that worked.

Any advice (besides get better video editor) would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. How are you determining the screen is green? (i.e. on a burned DVD or from software playback on the PC?)

What happens when you test it out using another software player (e.g VLC or KMplayer)

Did the other functional DVD-Video projects have motion menus as well?

I don't have an answer for the Pinnacle Studio Plus v 12.1 "Green Screen" menu page problem...I have it myself...everything looks good in the Edit mode. In the movie I am making, I have a 5 page Pinnacle template menu...6 chapters with thumbnails on each page...when I start to burn a DVD, Only the first Menu page comes out with the correct colors, thumbnail frame and chapter text...the next 4 pages are uniformly Green and you can't see the thumbnails....all you see is the box outline of where the thumbnail is located on the page and the Chapter Text below the Thumbnail box...When you open the page, The only box that shows is the one in the upper left corner. When you move the cursor over the page the other box outlines and related Chapter text show on the page....one at a time in their correct location on the page. When the cursor is on one of the boxes you can click on it and the link is to the correct chapter in the body of the Movie...And I thank Pinnacle for this small favor. But for the life of me I can't seem to "get the green out" of menu pages 2 thru 5 so that they look like the page 1 template with 6 chapter thumbnails and chapter text. Any suggestions...I have downloaded the October 2008 "Pinnacle 12.0/12.1 "Fixes" and they have not fixed the Green problem on any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated...PS...I have spent Hours on the phone with the Pinnacle tech support people who all mean well and want to help me fix the problem...but they haven't been able to talk/walk me though anything that works...at least not yet...

    Thanks for any help,

    Ralph

rajohnson10 - I have a similar problem with the Green Screen - however, mine occurs with the FIRST page of my menu.

I made a "movie" with one menu, but the menu has 2 pages. The first page has 6 chapters and Page 2 has 1 chapter. When I do the DVD Preview - it looks great. After I "Made the Movie" and burned the content to DVD, I put it in my DVD player to watch it on TV and the same thing happened to me as it did to you - the first menu page is all green with nary a white outline and the "Chapter 1" title beneath it. If I take the remote control and arrow over to where Chapter 2 should be, it actually does move over and I can click on Chapter 2 and it will bring me to Chapter 2. Same for the others on Page 1.

In the lower right corner where the arrow should be to turn to page 2, there's a faint white box. I arrow to IT, and click it and BANG - there's Page 2 of the menu with Chapter 7. Only, this time, IT WORKS! Page two is there in all it's glory - perfect.

But, why is Page 1 all Green? It destroys the video. What can be done?

    Thank you,
    mcbarney19

I found this forum because I am having the same problem - I've gone step by step and it is for sure adding motion to the thumbnail that makes the rendring go wrong. Has anyone sorted out a solution yet?

Pinnacle can capture okay, but it's not a reliable editor or DVD authoring app.
