Which codec to play this MPEG video on Vista x64?

I have an mpeg file that won't play in Winamp, VideoLAN or WMP.

Here are the file details. What codec do I need and where do I find it please for my platform?

Format : CDXA/MPEG-PS
Length : 789 MiB

Video #0 : MPEG Video at 1 750 Kbps
Aspect : 352 x 288 (1.304) at 25.000 fps

Looks like a "xvcd" in vcd dat format. Try use the old vcdgear and convert it to a standard mpg.

Or try play using media player classic or smplayer.

Try to load the file into GSpot and it will tell you which codec you need.

Thanks guys...just to see what my system has installed I loaded up GSpot and it indicates my file is encoded with MPEG-1 Layer 2 and that the codec is, in fact, installed. Is it because it's a VCD that it won't play? I'll take the advice and try the conversion to MPEG and see if that helps.
