Does there exist a nice front end for HC that creates a DVD-spec MPEG-2 file (w/ sound)? I've tried and like FAVC, but it produces a DVD image. I'd just want MPEG-2 file.
    thanks

  2. HCenc GUI comes with the stable 0.23 release (the 0.24 beta is command line only)

You still need avisynth or .d2v input

The latest beta of 0.24 dated May 18, 2009 has a new gui to go with the encoder.

HCbatchGUI was recently updated with mplex. It creates video with hcenc, audio with aften, and you can have it mux the two into an mpeg file. Might be worth a look to you. There is an online guide with instruction video on how to work it.

Thanks AVS2DVD looks a good option. HCbatchGUI looks a lot better than I remember it. I'll have to try that too. Also I didn't realized that the beta HC added a menu with sound support. Lots of options! Thank you!

It doesn't. Just frontends like Avstodvd, favc, hcbatchgui, etc offer sound.

I was just letting poisondeathray know that hank315 had released a new gui and command encoder for version 0.24 beta of hcenc.
