help with ripping swf video from a flash game

ok im playing this new game i dl and want to rip the video from it. after trying using frapps , camstudio, and other video capture software i ended up with nothing.So basically i was wondering is there any kind of program or method to go about extracting video from swf.I have spent 2 days trying everything if any has any knowlede of how to do it would be greatful.

oh and the game requires u to push a buttton to go forward but im just looking for a way to get the video atm.

If you want to record what you are playing, camstudio should work

If you want the individual elements, you need a flash decompiler eg. sothink flash decompiler or adobe flash pro. Often what you see is actually individual images, not video, if that was the case, you would extract the images then encode a video if that's what you wanted.

ok tried camstudio agauin quility was great but the out put video is always slow.everything moves in super slow motion and not smooth at all..any clues on what im doing wrong? , also couldnt get camstudio to reconize the divx codec after i installed iton my pc .Fixing to try a flash decomcompiler maybe ill have better luck hopefulley

The default is 5 fps for camstudio, you should try changing the setting to something higher like 20 or 30. What codec did you capture in? You need a vfw version of the codec to work. Or you could capture lossless (eg. lagarith, huffyuv) and re-encode it later. Also your pc might be too old to do this, you haven't listed your specs

well sothink swf decompiler seems to be working very well. With camstudio i change every setting so to get dbetter quility but since these few days was the first time i ever used camstudio i didnt really understand some setting even though its a simple program even watched some youtube demos on how to use it. As for changing fps i have now clue how to do that in camstudio.The default codec microsoft video 1 was the only the one i was able to use since the xvid codec would bring up a warning when i tried to record,I got my version of camstudio from its main webpage.but if u could provide a link to the vfw version i got other projects that camstudio would be helpful in. ty for your help to ^,^

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but RealPlayer Plus is good for SWF. I use IrfanView to watch them. It is does not tax my CPU's resources.
