Some of the subtitles are too long to display and I try to use
subtitle workshop to divide the lines according to the pre-set
character numbers (say 20 characters) but it seems that
subtitle workshop does not work as I expect, some of the
long subtitles haven't divide even I have use "set maximum
line length" option, is there any solutions for this?

    Thanks for you guys' attentions

To make it reflow the lines, select the subtitles (or all of them, with ctrl-A) and do
    Edit/Text/Smart line adjust

20 characters seems very short. Standard is about 40.

I wouldn't really trust it to break Chinese properly.
Breaking alphabetic languages it will insert a line break in a space between words, but I don't think you have any in your text.

They have a forum at http://www.urusoft.net/forum/
I suggest you log on there and ask.
