Hi, I recently forayed into HD video with a Canon HF20. I've installed Vegas 9.0 Platinum & Architech Studio 4.5. I am trying out a test project to understand the software. Here's what I've done
- shopt a couple of clips (*.mts)and downloaded them to my HDD
- Started a new project in Vegas 9.0 and inserted the clips into the timeline.
- Slect "Make Movie" and the option to burn it to a DVD. It goes about its rendering and generates a .mpg file. At the end it asks me "Click the Send to DVD Architect Studio" button to launch DVD Architect Studio with you rendered Movie". I do that
- It starts up DVD Architech Studio and immediately gives me an error box "
Warning: An error occured while opening one or more files
The file is an unsupported format
- In the details, it shows me the path of the *.mpg file.
I sincerely appreciate your help and answers. It's quite frustrating.

i've never used studio but i do use vegas pro, maybe the instructions will work. try rendering to dvd spec .mpv and .ac3 separately and then importing into architect.
after you finish your timeline, click file\render as. choose mainconcept mpeg-2 and from the dropdown arrow choose a template that matches what you want to render to. i.e - dvd architect pal mpeg-2 or ntsc and set it to video only(.mpv). then render as again to get the audio stream, ac3 if it's listed.
sorry if this doesn't apply to studio.
