I have been using my 13 in CRT TV For about 10 years and I have been looking into getting an HDTV 19" VIZIO. What does everyone think of it?? I looked at it at Costco and it is 200 bucks and I am thinking on Purchasing it.

I recently Bought a WD TV Media Player because I store a ton of Anime episodes on my WD Passport drive which I currently use with my Philips 5992 DVD Player with USB 2.0 Input which works great, but I wanted to get the WD Media Player due to its x.264 playback and MKV Format and a lot of my Animes are x.264

So what TV do you recommend for a great value and for use of my WD Media Player.

Is there a way I could connect my WD TV Media Player, Go Video Dual VHS Player, PS2, and my Philips DVD Player 5992 to the Vizio 19" HDTV? I am just wondering because I currently use my Component cables to plug in either my DVD Player to the Go-Video Dual VHS VCR so I could watch a DVD and when I need to use my PS2 I need to unplug the Component cables from my DVD player to put the PS2 Component cables to play games...

It is a huge pain in the but to unplug and Plug stuff all the time.

It would be nice to have all 4 of my devices all plugged into the same TV so I would just have to change the Input.

I am sorry for such a long post but I am very new to the whole HDTV Scene. I just think it is about time to upgrade for my room.

Do you have a link to that 19" TV? Or a model number?

    Yes, same model number.

If I like the picture, I may get one to replace a flakey computer monitor.

It looks like a great deal and customer reviews are favorable.

So worth picking up I might just buy it...

Just trying to get a better picture and also being able to connect all 4 of my devices to the 19 inch will be awsome with the WD Media Center for the One Piece Episodes will be awsome..

With the overscan be bad for Anime on this TV? The current Dimensions are 848x480 for the episodes..I hope it doesn't cut off the Subs

Maybe over HDMI. The VGA port probably won't overscan.

    I'm looking for a manual.

    Manual is here

P-36 says you have H size and V size control.

Most all TV sets overscan by design. Computer monitors don't. I'm not sure if the H & V size controls will help on the Vizio.

I'm probably going to buy one this weekend after looking at the picture quality. I have a need for a combo QAM TV plus computer monitor.

PS: Other things I like about this TV are 10 pound weight and only 32 Watt power. Perfect for portable use and during power outages (off battery power).

I tested this tv out at the store with both laptop (vga) and the WD TV. It has an excellent picture and the subs work perfectly.

Granted, I only had 2 hard-subbed movies, which were done properly. If the subs were placed improperly (low) that would be a problem for any television.

I picked up 2 of them. I told them that the commission should go to sandman423.

If it performs well this could be the Model-T or Honda Civic of HDTVs.

BTW, there are a ton of "refurbs" on eBay. I don't know what that is about.

I am happy that your happy Supreme2K

I have been looking for quite awhile for a Decent HDTV for my Room...All I kept finding was overpriced HDTVs and So Huge that it wouldn't fit in my room.

I was luckily happy to see that Costco finally got a decent HDTV for a decent price.

I will probably pick one up tomorrow or Friday.

    One more question...

How Many HDMI Cables will I need? I have a Philips DVP5992 (Which I can plug via HDMI, PS2 (Only component cables I think), WD TV Media Player (Connects via HDMI), and my Go-Video which connects via Component cables due to how old it is.

So how many HDMI Hookups would I need 3? Also which brand is a good brand for HDMI Cables?

Two for WD and 5992. Walmart has them for ~$24 ea. (Philips or RCA). Online they will be about half that plus postage.

  15. Vizio has high breakdowns. Supposedly the #1 returned TV, I can't verify that though. Read reviews first, lots of complaints in other forums. You get what you pay for.

Check out Big Lots for HDMI cables. I found some for $12 apiece. Brand name is TriQuest. Never heard of them but they work.

I picked up a Vizio VO22LF about 2 months ago form Sam's. Nice picture and full HD. No complaints.

At that price I'd buy all that they have in stock.

The cheapest Fry's cables are usually less flexible. I've had one fail* so far but I bought extras.

    * When the cable was bent near the connector in a tight space, some pin connections went intermittent.

I wouldn't. They have sale prices like that on HDMI cables nearly every weekend. Sometimes 6', sometimes 10', etc. I usually have a few extras on hand to give to friends when they need them.
