    Hey everyone.
I am using photoshop v.9 and adobe premiere 2.0.

I had save a psd in photoshop and imported it into adobe premiere. I made a few chance to the PSD and save it. It automatically updated in premiere and screws some layers up. I did a lot of motion work so starting over is just so stressful.

Is there anyway update the layers with in Premiere? I have tried replace the layers with new PSD files and nothing is happening. Please help! I'm really scared i that i will have to do this all over

    Thanks in advanced.

  2. What do you mean "screws some layers up" ? Can you be more specific ?

If you didn't want the dynamic update, just save a renamed file or work on a copy

The integration between Adobe products has significantly improved in CS4

The first time i imported the PSD into premiere everything was fine. After that I had worked on a few things in the photoshop and save it,it was then that all the layer in premiere had switched around.

I tied to import each layer 1 by 1 into preimere hoping it would ask me to replace the layers and it didnt, nothing changed

    hope this clears it up...

  6. ok, in older versions I think the work around is right click, make offline (don't delete files) , then right click the "offline file" , select "link media", select new psd

  8. Are you sure? Is your version Premiere Pro 2?

I just checked on an older PC that has Premiere Pro 2 installed and it swapped assets fine...

What kind of things did you alter in the psd ? Certain things won't necessarily retain their relationships to other assets in the main project sequence. Or are you saying it won't swap at all (i.e. nothing changes?)
