i swapped out everything out of a case and put it in a different case and now the computer wont power on. i get the motherboard power led that is on but nothing happens when i hit the power button. I have the power button wires i think in the correct place. here is a diagram of it. Its page 3, section4. The power button switch is a blue and white wire and put them in the 2 pink pins on the diagram. i put the blue wire on the end pin. something else i should try.

Most likely the power/reset switches from the front panel are misconnected.

This weekend is a good time to shop for power supplies and most other things.

I just scored a 45% discount on a Polk Center Speaker and a telescope accessory I've always wanted.

The picture above lacks detail for the LEDs.

It should be described in the manual.

If you clicked on the op link it shows the manual and all details, the hdd led is used for both hdd,not sure why there is a second hdd led connection since the led is for the computer case.

ok i got another problem now. bought a new PS and installed it. COmputer powers on and boots up. It goes the the XP boot screen and seems to be at the boot screen for the normal time but after it would normally go to the windows login/user selection screen but it doesnt make it there. Monitor shows not connected and it reboots. I booted to desktop in safe mode and did a system restore but that didnt help. any ideas?

  13. Focus on the video driver, uninstall current and let Windows install a generic driver.

I would also Remove and Replace the video card, also check all cards to make sure they are completely seated into the expansion slot.

This case swap did not involve switching ANY parts other than the case, and now the PS, right?
