I wonder what program do you use to create a menu for a DVD and why you use it?

Why I wonder if that I have try some program and non of them I like at all.
I trying to do something nice and basic
I like to have my own background, I dont like to have any thumbnail to my movie clip
I like to have a mainmenu that have the movie and a text link to submenu that show other clips

    Nero 7 Vision Essentials
I can easy create menu and background but I have no control at all where I want to have them and I only get with thumbnail

    DVD Flick
A very nice program but to create a template is not so easy at all
I have read some tutorial but still have problem to understand to create a main menu and submenu with textlink to my clips

    GUI for dvdauthor
A nice program but dont understand so much and have not find any good step by step tutorial

My design is not so hard to do but when I dont have any information to read nothing is easy.

You could try FAVC, which will give you text links, but no submenus, or AVStoDVD. You could also look at DVD Styler
    Read my blog here.

I use this, it's actually quite easy once you get started.
It includes a very comprehensive help file.
    Did you look at that?

Basically: Drag in a video (M2v) file and it will create a menu item.
R-click "menu properties" to choose a background image (or video), default text styles, etc.

Click "Insert" and choose "menu" to create a submenu.

  6. DVDflick is more of a conversion tool than anything else, its menu creation is terrible. I only use it to make quickndirty DVDs out of WMV or AVI files. Its DVD menus are bare-bones but function well enough to jump from clip to clip. If you want better, try DVDstyler or follow AlanHKs instructions for GUI for dvdauthor.

  7. Here's what I use:
DVDFlick:great for converting FLV or DivX but creates basic menus.Rarely used.
MyDVD:creates motion menus(including submenus) and you are able to move thumbnails but you can't move the title.Used occasionally.
DVDStyler:great authoring program that I use every week.
