Note -- if in USA, good thick RG6 (Philips brand) is available at Lowe's and Walmart both. Works great. Home Depot, too -- sometimes.

Cable company has some too, often able to cut exact length for small price per foot.

Copper conducts better than gold -- but many retail "gold coated" wires are better thickness/shielding -- <sigh>, go figure.
