Hello,
maybe it's not a perfect place to ask such questions, but i hope someone will help me.
I need information about MPEG2, MPEG4 or other popular codecs. What bitrate it generates, what payload size and frame size (in miliseconds) are? I know it's VBR, but i need the mean, dependency or some statistics.
I need this cause i have to manualy generate UDP packet flow, that would be similar to video service.
Any help would be very appreciated..

Main VOB files are usually around 4000 to 8000 bitrates. I'm not sure about compressed files.

Mp4,mkv,avi files can have any bitrate from 100 up to 10,000kbps and higher, depends on what the user wants for quality vs quantity.Frame size can be variable too.Too many variables to give a definite answer, best to read up on the subject.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
Quality is always lost when compressing. Keep the originals and buy a hard drive
