Question how to make multiple cuts with DVD Shrink

I know I can use DVD Shrink to cut out a piece of a DVD. But if I want to cut out several pieces, how can I do that in one go? Or is it necessary to cut out one piece, reauthor and then cut out another piece and reauthor?

Or drag the same title across multiple times and cut each part. However you end up with multiple titles as output. Shrink isn't really designed for editing, just top and tail trimming.

Better off using VideoRedo or Womble Mpeg Video Wizard or similar

I used DVD Shrink to edit all my Voyager recordings.
I left the 'fade to black' (and in some cases saved the black as a title) before each commercial and this eased the transition as each title started playing.

It's not as hard as it sounds. DVD Shrink 'remembers' where you last cut to so its fairly easy to measure the next piece and so on.

I also use it routinely to extract image files and strip audio streams but very, very seldom to shrink DVDs

I just want a quicky way to take a DVD and delete several parts, keeping audio and subtitles in sync. Video Redo doesn't allow to input the DVD, only the mpeg2, so the subtitles have to be dealt with separately, something I don't want to do.

Can you give me the steps how to do that with Video Redo? I see a lot of problems. I think Video Redo only allows you to input 1 VOB at a time. OK. If I edit the VOBs, then the original IFOs won't match the VOBs. I would have to reauthor the DVD from the VOBs. How do I do that?

You have answered your own question, really. VOBBlanker is a handy tool in some of these situations.

However I would rather do that than end up with a disc that is split into tiny titles with pauses in between edits.

Then again, I have never had the need to edit commercial discs in this manner . . . . . . . . . .
