I'm using default.jpg for the background, which is an indigo color, and an opposing golden foreground color for my fonts. The screen colors look accurate when tested in mplayer on PC, but shows up white on blue when I play the DVD on a TV/DVD Player.

Is there a way to embed DVD pallete colors in the VOBs from GFD...like with subtitles?

Unlike subtitles, text added to the menu while using GFD becomes an integral part of the picture. Only the button highlight and activation colors for the menu are added to its subpicture pallette. If the text is part of a button and the problem only appears when the button is selected, editing the subpicture palette could help. Otherwise, it won't solve your problem.

Colors frequently appear darker using my monitor and much lighter on my TV. It's one of the inherent differences between the two types of displays. In addition, some TVs and DVD players have a picture setting that can be used to change the brightness and contrast to provide a better picture when a movie has a lot of dark scenes. Check the settings on your TV and DVD player to make sure they are normal. If the picture settings aren't causing the problem, try using a darker shade of gold.
