Hi; first off, I've looked through the guides, and it seems none of the ones I've found address what I want to do exactly. If I'm wrong on that, please point me in the right direction. :P

    So my issue:

I've found artifacts (as if the dvd was scratched before being ripped) in the opening of one of the episodes on a DVD I've ripped. The DVD was ripped to Video_TS/Audio_TS, and I've demuxed the affected VOB file to its constituent a/v files (2x AC3 and 1x MPEG [v2 I think]). I want to cut out and replace the affected series of frames with a copy that doesn't have these artifacts; I want to do this by replacing the damaged frames with an identical set from another DVD volume of the same series. Basically, it boils down to this: How can I, "Copy and paste," a set of undamaged frames to replace the damaged set in MPEG video?

    Thanks!

    Yes, use Womble

Multiplex the audio and video to make an MPEG.
(But not sure if you can do this with two audio tracks?)
Edit in Womble, cut and paste,
    Save to new MPEG.
Demultiplex to new AC3 and M2V
    Reauthor.

If you really want to keep two audio tracks, you can just edit the video if you are very careful to replace any cuts with exactly the same number of frames of new video, thus retaining sync with the original audio.
(Womble can display time in either seconds or frames; use frames.)
