Don't know exactly where to put this.
I'm was wondering if I can transfer videos off my DVR to my PC. To be exact I have a Time Warner Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HDC box and a Dish network Vip-722K box. Is this at all possible? If so, what tools do I need?
Thanks.

Normal is to use S-Video and stereo audio to a cap card.
The digital data is encrypted and not accessible.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

Since it's not accessible, I guess that means I can't do it? Is there a way around the encryption?
