    i want to cut off some of a video file and i am using virtual dub (which i have used before and its worked great) but this time i am not getting any sound in the new file, WHY?????? what am i doing wrong????

    Does the output not have any sound at all? Does your output file have an Audio Track? If not check on VirtualDub menu if Audio -> No Audio is NOT checked.

    hey thanks for the help!!! i just rebooted and then made sure i had sound coming into vdub to begin with and then redubbed and now i have sound!!
