    Hi,
I have quite a number of large 720 mkv files and am running out of server space.
I also have some problems with high bitrates as my networks cant sustain more than 3MB/s.
So for MKV file with only one audio stream I use videora Appletv converter with which I make some mp4 files with 2.4 Mb video (no resolution conversion)and 160kbs audio.

My problem is that I have many mkv files with multiple audio and sometimes 2 subtitle tracks.

Any tool out there with which I could reduce the bitrate of these while keeping the two audio/subtitle tracks?

    many thanks,

In the case of my dvd resolution dvbt ripped TS files (Hauppauge wintv 7/ hvr900H) , I also have two audio streams.
I would like to cut out the commercials from these files before reencoding.

Any good ts editor that can handle several audio stream and subtitles?

    many thanks for the help.

  4. You can try to load the file in standard editors which can handle like HD contents and try to edit things out. Regarding removing Audio streams, I think you can do that while using HDC2X.

Or you can convert first and then use an editor for that type of file to edit it. Which file type you want your results in?

For this you can try Handbrake, an excellent tool for converting between different formats.
