  1. For converting Mkv files to AVCHD format I have been using tsMuxeR, and they come out fullscreen and do not look like any of the original resolution was cropped at all, In fact they look great!
Some of the Mkv files resolutions are AVCHD video compliant(920x1080, 1280x720 and 720x480), and some are not.

What happens to the output files that are not compliant with tsMuxeR?

Iv'e heard that the uncompliant resolutions should be ran thru uncropMKV, which takes a while, before sending them thru tsMuxeR but all of the Mkv files I've done so far Iv'e done with tsMuxeR ONLY(Takes just 10min).

They look great, so is it that the new version of tsMuxeR just adjusts the resolution the the nearest video compliant setting if needed?

If you have downloaded these files and are getting fullscreen (I assume by this you mean it fills a widescreen TV without adding bars) there is a good chance it is because they were pre-butchered when being converted to mkv in the first place, or you have only downloaded 1.85:1 files, and the bars are hidden in the overscan of your TV.
