It doesn't take that much more effort to give a bit of instruction. This thread has 646 views at present, so the OP isn't the only one reading it.

I have been using DVDShrink to edit various clips from musicals to an ISO image before burning with DVDDecrypter. Open Shrink, select the drive the DVD is in, once opened the first thing to do click the re-author tab and choose the folder option, then use the arrows on the edit tab to start/stop the various chapters (each clip is a chapter), name the 1st clip No.1, the second No.2 and so on. Do not quit DVDShrink until you you have completely finished editing as you can check each chapter as you go, click the folder on the HDD and make sure you have EXACTLY what you wanted, if it isn't, just go back to the edit menu and use the arrows to amend, it will re-write over the files in the folder. Each chapter takes a few seconds to encode, at the end you may have 30/40 folders on your drive. Exit and re-open Shrink and select ISO image, import those files one by one until you have around 4.35g, 4.35g will give you the SAME image quality of the disc your getting the material off. Play time for a 4.35g image is slightly <2hrs. Whatever speed the DVD media may be, I choose to burn at 6x (<10min), haven't had a coaster in years. That said, the only media I buy these days is Verbatim (M.C.C.), others may not agree, nevertheless, I believe Verbatim is superior when it comes to blank media (<20 cents each).

Once you do get it right the first time, you will have no problems with further productions.

PS. Bad move to not visit this board again because there are many experts among the members and whenever I have a problem and seek advise, I almost always get the problem solved here. No matter whatever forum you are going to visit, there are always 1 or 2 worthless comments, just ignore them, do not be offended.

When I first joined this forum I knew absolutely nothing about burning DVDs, I have come a long way taking advise from various members on this board.

THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST SITES ON THE WEB, in fact, it is the only one I have bookmarked.

I goofed .... after you have the 30/40 clips on your HD re-open Shrink and import those folders one by one, once you have all the folders imported select ISO image.

That will give you a single ISO image to burn with DVDDecryter and as stated earlier I suggest you burn at 6x (<10min). It's only complicated the first time from then on it's a breeze.

Hope you get it right, sorry I had to amend the above.

DVDFab didn't burn data to your harddrive. it "ripped" the dvd. ripping means decrypting (the copyprotection) while copying from the dvd to the harddrive.

you need dvdshrink to combine multiple clips (dvds) into one and if needed "shrinking" (transcoding) them to fit on a dvd5.

ImgBurn will burn the created files from dvdshrink onto a dvd5.

hope this helps you to understand a bit better
