I just got a Sony laptop with Vista OS. I want to create a partition to enable another volume. I’m having trouble going through in disk management and using command line. Apparently the hang up is pagefiles or snapshots are enabled in preventing a larger partion of the boot drive.
Does anyone know how to remove this? Thanks for your help.

You may have to go with a third-party manager that works at boot time. I've used Paragon in the past and it has worked excellently. There are plenty of others, both free and paid, that you can check out. Search for "Hard drive manager vista" on Google.
Also, you can try this link if you want to stick with Vista's tools. -
