Ok thanks i tried it. It gives me only one file of 63GB but the file is bugged. After 5 minutes of playing, it just stops.

Also, there is like a "lag" in the video (and it did it either with the 14 files and with the big file). Every 5 or 6 seconds, sound and video freeze for like 200ms. It is annoying. An idea?

I tried to convert directly from the mpeg-2 352x480 to mpeg-2 720x480, and it seemed to work just fine... Can you tell me exactly what's wrong with this version?

Well, on the computer it is just fine either before or after authoring.
But on the TV, the image is good when the camera do not moves. When the camera moves, as i said, it is a little bit blurred.

Maybe it is the way it should be... or maybe it is like that because of the snow... or maybe there is a filter to apply...

Also i have another question: can we apply a filter to a converted file? Because i cut and convert my .VRO file into an .MPG, and then i tried to apply a deinterlacing filter, but it did no difference between the original.

  7. i think that's just the low quality 352x480 mode of the camera. i would hope the high quality mode was better.

for dvd you should leave it interlaced. if it were going to be a computer streaming video then you might de-interlace.

    Hello again!

I am pretty that you will think: "This guy is a pain in the ass...."

    And you'll be right!

Before finalizing my project, i would have 2 general questions:

    1) When i convert my .VRO 352x480 in .MPG 740x480, at the same time, i cut half of the scenes, but the final file size is 2GB (same as the original). Is it normal?
(Because i thought it would be smaller, with that size, all my cutted scenes, don't fit on one DVD. The excess is about 200Mb...)

    2) When i do the authoring, do i need extra space on my DVD? Does the authoring take a lot of MB (a basic one i mean: 2 pages: 1 for the main title, 1 for the scenes selections)?
If yes i will have to cut more scenes, and it will be another problem...

    Thank you for your answers.

PS: I am sorry but I am so far north and far from everything that I cannot get more DVD to do some testing, i have only 5 DVDs and no RW, i would like to do some tests but i can't i need to keep my DVDs for my final burning... So i am asking a lot of questions... I apologize for the inconvenience.
