Probs playing SVCDs on Universum

When i play SVCDs on my Universum DVD-Player it shows the Video fine, but i could not hear any Audio!! It says "Audio unbekannt" = "not known Audio".
VCDs works fine with Video and Sound, only SVCDs don't work!!

Do someone know why??? MPEG-Files? Burning Method?
I burn with the newest Nero-BurningRom with SVCD PlugIn.

looks like the player does not play SVCD .mpeg sound, which is just annoying and tells me I bought the wrong &"%!$§ DVD player

I suggest you look through the audio settings on your DVD player and see if somewhere there is a "PCM" setting. If so, try that.

well, that was the first thing I did ... i switched from bit stream to PCM, but nothing happened

I multiplexed the MPEG2 Program (VBR) to MEPG2 SVCD (VBR), now Ulead Movie Fac. tells me the .mpg is a valid file for burning to SVCD - I burned it, tried it - no sound. I'm really cooking now.

VCD working fine, and as of VCD has PCM just like SVCD the player should play it. I'm nearly giving it up ...

Would the VCD header trick help in this case? Will try this then ...
