I've seen instructions on modifying the firmware for a Memorex 2511 Blu-Ray player, by using another brand's firmware instead. There are supposedly simple instructions to do this, but I've only used a hexeditor once or twice so if anyone can explain the two steps I need to take, I'd appreciate it. Replacing the header I understand (the opening of the file down to its 16th row, if I understand the OxOff part) -- but replacing the chksum I'm a bit lost on.

Any help would be appreciated!!
