Thanks for the comments. From what I can read MakeMKV is for ripping Blu-ray and I need to edit the movie/video shot with my sisters HD camcorder in Adobe Premiere 7, and then either export the lossless files or burn it. Exporting lossless files is not supported in this program as far as I can tell. The end result should be in HD quality and able to view on TV. The only way I think this version of Premiere can do this is to burn a Blu-ray. Premiere 7 can burn Blu-rays so this sounds like the easiest solution for me. Unless there are big problems ahead doing this or the video vill suffer qualityloss I think I will buy an external Blu-ray burner and let Premiere 7 do its job. The only thing that would make me consider updating instead is if I could export lossless edited videos that can be showed on TV using a Mediaplayer.
It would be nice if someone could confirm that I am thinking correctly now!
Thank you

AFAIK Adobe Premiere Elements is not a smart-rendering HD/BD editor -- which means it's not lossless. Nor do I care for Adobe's re-rendering engines. You have to consider whether your output also includes menus or if you simply want a video data file that will play from an external media player like the WD unit. A lot depends on whether the TV display can accept an external media player like the WD. So you have to consider: how will your girlfriend play this output if it's not a standard BD disc or if she doesn't have a BluRay player.
TMPGenc has two smart-rendering apps that work with HD, has virtually lossless smart-rendering editors and a good x264 encoder for smart-rendering operation. One is TMPGenc Smart Renderer 4, which outputs official MPEG/BluRay/AVCHD that can be used in a media player. It doesn't burn to disc. It does have a timeline editor and other editing/compilation features. TMPGenc Authoring Works 5 has a smart renderer, outputs HD with menus, and has its own burning software. Both have smart rendering engines that are superior to Adobe's. TMPGenc has been around for a long time and is favored by many hobbyists worldwide.Last edited by sanlyn; 19th Mar 2014 at 13:38.

...It is my sister!
I dont need menus. My sister has a modern Samsung TV so I guess it should work with an external media player. I hope so? If I could import and edit the .mts files and export the ready made video to a media player in HD quality this would be the best solution I think.
Premiere Elements is not lossless in creating Blu-ray and canīt export lossless hd-videos from the timeline and still this software has good reviews on many places.... Could an upgrade help ? If not I need to consider other software as you have suggested before.
But then I need different editing software that can import .mts and export lossless in HD, which might cost a lot?
(My workflow on my old pc when I make dvds are: avid xpress dv, avsp, cce basic, aften audio, dvdauthorgui, imgburn. could I use some of these to create a hd-workflow?)
