I have the software as stated in the subject that came with one of my cards. Here's what I do:
I use my laptop hooked up to the firewire output of my DVR and record Hi-Def to my laptop using CapDVHS. All my extensions are set to .ts I then use HDTVtoMPEG2 to convert the .ts files to mpeg files. Now, when I try to import these files in to Quick Studio I get an error message saying the file could not be opened. Any ideas why? When using CapDVHS should I set the extensions to .mpg instead of .ts? Or is there a setting in Quick Studio that allows the file to be read. I can view those files in WMP and VLC player. Why won't they open in Studio?
Thanks in advance!!

As best as I can remember, you need Pinnacle Studio Plus 10.7 to open the file in XP, or 10.8 in Vista.

I'm able to open any other mpg video and create a movie with it, it's just from my DVR that it doesn't want to open that file. I also have WinDVD Creator which came free with a capture device I purchased and I can open those files in there but that software has many bugs.
