    Hey!!!
    Is that possible in any avi file of length say 5 minutes
    If I want to re-encode it so that there is
    audio for 2 minutes and no audio for rest of the 3 minutes.

    Demux the audio, open it in Audacity, blank the last 3 minutes, save it, and mux it back into the AVI file. Virtualdubmod or avimuxgui would be the easiest way.
