My main reason for using AVG (v7) was that it was free and used few system resourced. The new version (v8) uses quite a bit more resources. Although not as bad as Norton or McAfee, it's still more than I want to give up. I've currently switch to Avira, which is also free and doesn't use many resources.

AVG can kiss my ass. Starting with version 8, it has this bad habit of deleting programs without asking permission. Goldwave was always nuked on my systems, even though it was perfectly fine, and I need that software almost daily.

    I switched to Avira. 8)
