Having seen most of video hosting services can display the pictures or videos online directly by the link without downloading the images into the computer unless a user wants to save them. But file hosting services usually cannot display the file online but require downloading first. Have you seen any reliable file (such as MS Word) hosting services) can display the file online by the link without downloading the file into the computer? I need to share some MS word files with some experts online but they do not want to download them into the computer due to the virus concern.

Save your Word documents as an .html files and post them to whatever website you have set up. If you don't have your own website, you can set one up with any variety of hosting services.

What else do you want us to do for you, Coody? I just hope we aren't robbing you of the sense of achievement that comes from overcoming obstacles on your own.

Don't use Word, use Notepad and save TXT files.

You suggested me to save the MS word as the .html or txt files but the hosting services still could not display the file directly unless downloading it into the computer first. I wonder whether there is a hosting service can display the file online for sharing without downloading it into the computer, just like some image hosting services? Besides of the pictures, I need to upload some MS or PDF files to somewhere for online sharing. Please share if you know it.

Just so you know, the image hosting services upload the images to you pc to your hard drive. Just look in the temporary internet directory. If you can see it, it has already been "downloaded"

The only time this is not the case, is true streaming videos (rtsp or udp protocol), not progressive download like common video sites e.g. youtube (http or tcp), the latter which are downloaded to your pc as a file

I would do what was suggested above; if you/they are that paranoid, just copy & paste the text into a message board (you will lose the formatting)

Another thing you might try is Google docs to share your work

Print it, stick it in an envelope, put a stamp on it, and tell them they'll have the document in 2-5 days.
