    I would like if i could get windows media player to play AVS files, is that possible somehow?

    i did, but Windows Media Player does not play the avs file..

    Mediaplayer classsic, and VLC does.. but not windows media player (9)

  4. I have no problem playing AVS files with WMP 10 and 6.4. What happens when you try?

    I tried it on this system (WMP11, Vista), using the version-check script, and it threw an error. Of course, I don't use WMP to handle AVISynth scripts, anyway, so...

    Your profile says your PC has Win2K, is that correct
    Me too uses WMP9, but under XP sp3, and
    it has no problems with Avisynth 2.5.8.

    no i use winxp, i'll try reinstall latest avisynth and get back...

    oke tried reinstalling AVS, still doesent make AVS play in WMP9

    Just curious - why do you want to have .avs scripts run in WMP9?
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    Fair enough. I was just curious, since I don't usually see people want to use AVISynth scripts with WMP.

    Some devices and some applications uses windows media as default playback engine.
