  1. I made an AVI from a large number of JPGs using WindowMovie Maker.

Now, I'd like to add, insert other pics into that AVI. The WMM project has been inadvertently deleted.

Is there a way to revert the AVI back into JPGs without losing quality or doing frame freeze?

Thanks a lot for any help.

Virtualdub, open avi, File->Save image sequence.

avidemux, open avi, file->save->save jpg images.

And you will just get the "quality" that the avi video contain. So if you had high resolutions jpgs and made a low resolution(or highly compressed) avi you will just get the low resolution quality.

And when you re-encode, you will likely lose quality again.

  4. Thanks a lot gunslinger and Baldrick.

Just occurred to me another alternative to avoid loosing picture quality.

What if instead of reverting the AVI back to JPGs, I just insert the new JPGs into the existing AVI?

Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks
