Hello all, this is new to me and I am perplexed. I have searched and could find nothing close to my problem, so here goes:

This has happened on a few dvd's, but this particular instance is on the Deja Vu dvd.

The way I have been ripping my DVD's is like so. With AnyDVD running in the back ground, I will open the Video_ts folder on the DVD and drag the files over to the HD, then convert to Xvid using Auto GK.

On this movie, the video will go for a few seconds, then flash back, go for a few seconds, then change to where it ended before. On the movie Troy, I notices it was flashing back and forth from the english to the spanish and back. It happens for only a few minutes, then goes to normal play, but on the Deja Vu, the audio sync is all jacked up, and the movie is un playable.

I noticed it in Star Wars as well. The beginning story scrolling goes from english to spanish back and forth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. welcome to the forums. and say hello to dvds with multiple angles. rip only one angle. dvdshrink can usually do it on the video_ts folder you copied to your hd.

Ah, so pulling the video straight from the video_ts folder is why I am getting the multiple angles...

Many thanks, I will give that a shot.

  4. the multiple angles are in the original, they would be selected by the language the user selects. the ripped dvd plays all three introductions in different languages repeated one after another. dvdshrink or dvdfab should list 3 main movies all the same size for the different choices. the first is usually the english intro.
