About one year ago I purchased a xacti (sanyo) vpc-hd1000 camcorder which delivers mpeg-4 AVC/H.264 footage compatible (in theory) with avchd standards. I have a standalone blu-ray player avchd compatible as well . I haven't been able to find any software to produce avchd bds or dvds without reencoding in all this time. Tsmuxer can't open any of these .mp4 or h264 (once demuxed with dvdit hd) cos "can't detect stream type" and all the rest of found solutions I've come across (nero vision and so on) always reencodes the footage. Is there any possibility to deliver any avchd-bd compatible material to play in a bd-player without spending hous/days waiting for reencoding or losing quality with this camcorder?

  2. What are you using to demux to raw avc stream? Tsmuxer should accept the h264 stream that are demuxed from mp4box (yamb is the gui). Perhaps try a different version of tsmuxer

Halfway accomplished. Now, tsmuxer 1.9.1 beta is able to "add" the h264 file previously demuxed with yamb, but when trying to create a bd or avchd, "sps picture order 2 not supported" appears on screen and the process doesn't start. Resolution is right (1920x1080i) as well as the framerate (29.97fps), profile level 4.0 but I still get the same error code -2 whenever I try to make any kind of operation with the h264 file. Any idea?

  4. I'm not sure

My guess is that the streams produced by your camera are not compliant. Also some versions of tsmuxer work better than others, so you could try older ones.

Note that Sanyo isn't part of the Sony/Panasonic consortium that developed AVCHD (Canon and JVC are). They don't use the "AVCHD" trademark term, only "avc/h.264" video compression, so perhaps they didn't pay their fees?

  5. Try 1.9.5(b) released today
    http://www.smlabs.net/tsMuxer/tsMuxeR_1.9.5(b).zip

    Change list:
    - pic_order_cnt_type 2 now supported for H.264 streams. Previus versions shows error message: "SPS picture order 2 not supported". H.264 video stream with this option generate many HD camcorder.

You can recycle the GUI from the last version

it worked!!!! Sorry for the delay but I've been out for a couple of days. As I said before, it worked. Finally, this last version of tsmuxer recognised and handled the .h264 coming from my camcorder properly. The famous error -2 doesn't appear no more. Can' t find enough words to thank your interest. THANK YOU poisondeathray and all the ones who tried to lend a hand.

  7. This is wonderful, if I can make it work. Anyone know how to reproduce this? I have tried, but my blu-ray player will not read it. It may need to try someone else's player. Anyone know what player works with this process?

I have an Xacti HD1000 and have struggled with the workflow for HD. I am at a pretty basic level so would really appreciate if someone could summarise the approach above so I can follow it. Ideally I would like to use the xacti footage in Adobe Premiere Pro. Thanks in advance.
