    What's available in hardware for controlling a S-VHS VCR with Control-M from a computer?

    My deck is a Panasonic AG-1980 and I want to control it with Windows XP Pro.

    Control-M was proprietary so not well supported for computer control but you can do it through intermediate devices (e.g. edit controller or switcher). Read this article.

    You will need to find 15yr old equipment in working order.
