  1. For some reason, when i try capturing with this proggy... i get this message:

    The actual framerate is higher then the one you requested. Your capture hardware/software does not support your requested format. Check your capture hardware manual for valid settings.

    Now my settings are allright. 29.97 fps, blah blah... cuz earlier today, i actually capped 40 mins (the limit with the trial) without incident. But now this evening, after 2 mins, i get this msg... plz help. I need to use this proggy cuz of the "Show drops as full frames" option, cuz i cnat find it in VDub.

    By default AVI_IO has a framerate of 15 fps, this could be your problem.
    Go into Capture Settings and setup your framerate, target drive, resolution etc. and save the settings as an INI file. Next time you start up AVI_IO you may have to load the INI file to setup the program correctly.
