  1. Starting to fiddle with MPEG video now.

Delays' a hazzle. However, it strikes me as odd. I load this file in DGIdx, and demuxes to get proper sync delay in output filename. a123 Tc0 L2 2ch 44.1 224 DELAY 184ms, I get. However. When loading up the original mpg-file in VDubmod, and adding "-184" in the main stream, I get bad lip sync. However, 184 (+) seems to give me a much greater deal of sync. Are you supposed to use + for - (and vice versa) in this case? Are the delays opposite (one is video in condition to audio; whereas the other gives audio in condition to video). The other thing I could think of is that something is bugging here. Corrupt video header somehow? Sorry for the stupid question, if I'd had more .mpg example with different delays I'd investigate the answer by simple trial and error, asking seems the easiest way here tho.

  2. Never mind my post. Happened to stumple on a MPEG1-video (an ancient A-teens musicvid) with a reported audio delay of 360ms. This was more easy to decide, loading in VDM and comparing delay flag "-360" w/ "+360" made it easy to see (what I'd expected to be appropriate from the beginning; before starting to doubt/go confuzed) that positive should stay positive; and thus negative -> negative. Sorry for stealing unnecessarily board-space.

    Plus.

They're just what it says they are. To zero out the delay, set a value identical to the one in the audio file name.
