  1. I have made a slideshow with DVD-Lab Pro.

    I have 99 pictures and 5sec/pic.

When I look on the TV the pictures blinks whole time.

Seems to works better on the PC.

    What's the problem?

This sounds like an interlacing problem. Due to fine lines in your images, the scanning of the TV is making them jerky. I would either deinterlace the images, or add a very small vertical only Gaussian blur (my preferred way), this should get rid of most of the problem.

  3. Thank You for the answer! I will try it later!

  4. I have tried with Gaussian blur and to not see any blinking I have to add a radius of 5 pixels. Then the pictures not that sharpen.

Is there any other way to have a little bit sharper pictures.

The TV is a Samsung 40" LCD.

Maybe it works better to deinterlace the images. But I don't know how to do it. Witch sofware could do it? I have PS CS4.

I believe it is under Filter>Video>Deinterlace

  6. It does not help to deinterlace the images. It still flickering.

I have to do the slideshow in DVD-Lab because I want the possibility to change picture with the "NEXT" button.

Maybe I have to use Gaussian blur. If I have radius of 2.5 pixels, it's just little flickering and litte less sharpness.

I don't have Photoshop, does the Gaussian blur effect allow you to do vertical only? Some posts I've seen seem to suggest it does horizontal as well and to use the Motion blur effect which does allow vertical only.

  8. The Gaussian blur effect seems to do both vertical and horizontal.

With Motion blur effect I can choose the angle.

I would use the Motion blur then, and do vertical only blur. You are losing too much sharpness by using the Gaussian blur if it is also blurring the horizontal as that is not needed to reduce the flicker effect.

  10. Thank You!

If I pause the slideshow it stops flickering, do you know why?

The slideshow is still a movie object, your photos are essentially converted into video stills. Pausing the slideshow is like pausing a movie.
