I have an SH-S223Q DVD burner, that according to what I've read, has something called Riplock. I understand there is a patch that will disable this. Where can I locate this patch? I have a Philips SPD2513 20x burner, & it can burn a +DL disc at 4x, while the Samsung tops out at 2.5x since I updated the drive'sfirmware to SB03 from SB00 yesterday.
Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Go to the SAMSUNG FORUM at CDfreaks.com. Do some research or join their forum and you can post your questions there. I haven't flashed a SAMSUNG drive since their model S203B. You could also use MEDIA CODE SPEED EDIT to get the drive to rip at faster speeds.

I saw something about Media Code Speed Edit, but I'm not sure how to install it it & I'm also not sure that it will work with the new SB03 firmware update. I'll check out that link you mentioned. I'm already a member I believe, but I haven't been there in a while. Many thanks
