Hey, i havent been converting video much recently, i want to get a Divx AVI download i got onto a DVD & i forgot which program i usually use to split the audio before i load the video & audio into TMPGEnc to make an MPG file that i can use in DVD Architect to author.

What freeware is good to get a WAV audio file from the video?

I used to use DVDFlick as an all round tool, but i thought id go ahead & buy TMPGEnc as its a great tool & more reliable than DVDFlick to output good MPG's for authoring with

Thanks in advance for any help

virtualdub, file->save wav or avidemux, audio->wav and audio->save.

You can also use the free hcenc, one of the best mpeg2 encoders.

Thanks virtualdub is the one i used to use but somehow lost it off my desktop

    hcenc looks good!
if i have any trouble with TMPGEnc ill give it a go (time to time TMPG will not like a particular file for reasons beyond me)

    Cheers
