  1. Hi everyone,
I have many TV-series's (which means a lot of space) and subtitle files for them (srt format), I need to hardsub/embed subtitles in these files and have a standard file size for episodes: around 100 MB for each. What would be the best codec for compression? I want these episodes to be playable online on sites like megavideo.com
I tried many codecs but the quality comes out to be so bad.
What is the best software to use to embed subtitles and output files in that size with best quality?

I tried VirtualDub (DivX 6.8 and Xvid MPEG-4) but the first came out with very large file (500 MB) and the second produced bad quality file.

I also tried Total Video Convector but quality isn't satisfying. Do you have better ideas that you tried yourself?

[SOLVED] I used Total Video Convector to convert to WMV with size around 100 MB for each 45 minutes

Easiest -> https://forum.videohelp.com/topic316471.html and convert to avi xvid/divx.

If you want a bit better quality try convert to h264/x264 mp4, convert using xvid4psp, open video, open subtitle, choose profile mp4, video->x264, audio->aac. See https://forum.videohelp.com/topic360276.html

BUT I doubt that you are allowed to upload COMPLETE tvseries to sites....maybe if they are your own tv-series...
