  1. Would it be a bad idea to convert two vids at once?
Would it take as long as it would to convert one at a time?

    I have a 500Mhz processor if that's important...

  3. I wouldn't recomend it eventhough it can be done your taking a chance as it might cause errors in the mpeg. and you wont save anytime. you might think of batch encoding though(tell it to do several one after the other).

I have done it with no problems, but a much better option is batch encoding, just enter all your jobs and hit run, much easier and less taxing on your puter...Gary

  5. It can be done (I used to do 4-5 encodings at once until I discovered the batching functions of TMPGEnc).

I strongly recommend batching, however, first save all your encodings as projects, then batch all the projects together: if your pc crashes in the middle of one encoding, you only lose one encoding when batching. The files already encoded will be fine.
