In an e-mail I received today:
"On March 20th, 2009, we sent you a letter informing you about changes to your Circuit City credit card account, issued by Chase. Chase has arranged for you to be able to use your account at Best Buy® for all of your consumer electronics needs."

Chase isn't stupid - they still want you to use their card.

Chase wants to keep customers. Only point I see.

it seems like it was saying that you should go to Best Buy® for your electronic needs which im guessing means computer needs as well. Is that your point?

So your Circuit City charge card is no longer a wallet-sized lock picker, it's now a Best Bur credit card.
There are no problems - only chances to excel.

ok I'm sure some of you are just being funny...and the title of the thread was the "hint" if you even want to call it that..I thought it would have been obvious...
Best Buy and Circuit City were competitors in "life"..and now as if circuit city closing down wasn't bad enough, their credit card accounts now go to Best Buy. I posted this in 2 forums and the first response in the other was "to the victor go the spoils" so I'm not sure why it was lost here. -

Although I've never really been a regular credit card holder, I have experienced companies changing hands (several times with my mortgage).
I think the additional element here is that I used to work for Best Buy. So although I would have paid no mind to other dealings of this sort, this one felt like a bigger deal to me...and of course if it's a bigger deal to me..all of you should also feel the same way. If not there is just something wrong with you.
