Hi!
Im making the credits for my shortfilm in aftereffects. I want to have my logo in the credits. the logo is made in illustrator but when I import the logo into after effects its oval and not a perfect circle.
My settings in aftereffects is:
Preset: HDV 1080 25
Width: 1440
Height: 1080
Pixel Aspect ratio: HDV 1080/DVCPRO HD 720 (1,33)
Ive understood this has to do with the pixel aspect ratio is different in illustrator and after effects? am I correct?
but how do I correct this problem?
The settings above is the same as on the filmed material (as you probably understand)
thanks

There is probably a proper way to do this, but one method that works is to build your comp as 1920 X 1080 Square Pixel and work in this resolution until the comp is finished. When it is done, drop this comp into a new comp that is 1440 X 1080, which will make your circle an oval again. Render it out, but encode it with the correct 16:9 Aspect Ratio. It will now match your existing 16:9 footage.

ok, thanks! sounds like it would solve it
are there any other way doing this? -
Recent versions of Photoshop allow working in non-square PAR project settings but with square pixel preview for computer display. I'd assume Illustrator has this feature. It should be explained in the docs. Otherwise, preview on an HDTV.Originally Posted by perikRecommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
