    What happened to Auto Save?

In Microsoft Office Suite here used to be an "Auto Save" that you could set to 5 minites or 15 minutes or whatever time space you wanted. It was there so you could keep working without having to continually "Save" the work. Be it Microsoft Word, Excel ,Publisher, Powerpoint, ect.

What happenened to it? or where is it?

I just installed the new Microsoft Office 2006.

in 2007 you get to it this way. here are the instructions for Excel the other apps should be the same:

    Excel
Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Excel Options.
    Click Save.
Select the Save AutoRecover information every x minutes check box.
In the minutes list, specify how often you want the program to save your data and the program state.
Tip The amount of new information that the recovered file contains depends on how frequently a Microsoft Office program saves the recovery file. For example, if the recovery file is saved only every 15 minutes, your recovered file won't contain your last 14 minutes of work before the power failure or other problem occurred.

Optionally, you can change the location (specified in the AutoRecover file location box) where the program automatically saves a version of files you work on.

    Cool. Thanks, people.

    Question to Bodyslide:
I do as you say. Great. But there are two little "boxes"...........

    One is called
    Auto Recover File Location

    and the other is called

    Default File Location

Both "boxes "put the saved file in another location other than the folder that I originally got the file from. What is am trying and cryin to say is that - All of the time I go to a file that is already in a specific folder and rewrite it or add to it........ and I want it to be autosaved in that specific folder (location) and not anywhere else. How do I do that?
