I have a slight problem First of all I let my wife use my computer and she has created her own vcds of music videos. The problem is that she has created each video by mpeg them separatly and then buring them onto vcd. when watched on dvd you can skip from video to video this works great. Today she tried to make a new vcd from some she had already created. She used nero inserted disc in cd-rom drive, opened mpegav file and droped and draged AVSEQ01.DAT files from 4 differnt vcds she had created. When she tried to burn them, the disc that the file was dragged from had to be in the cd-rom drive and only the info off that disc was burned. The rest was lost. What I am trying to find out is how can you burn a vcd with seprate chapters so that in the future you can make a new vcd by drop and drag using nero 5.5 Help me I wan't to stay out of the dog house

Hey I think I figured it out. I panicked and forgot to look thru the F&Q section. I have calmed down alittle and took a look thru the F&Q and found the info I think I needed vcdgear gui VO.02. I hope this helps.

  4. I could be wrong on this one (i only do SVCD), but i THINK what you need to do is de-multiplex the .dat file (use TMPGenc) and re-multipex it to standard MPEG.

Let us know if this works for you

    good luck.

I finally got it and the wife is no longer mad. I reinstalled vcdgear 3.06 and it reformats my dat files to mpg and puts them in my movie folder now I can drop and drag to nero and burn back to vcd. Have tried one and it plays fine in my dvd player. Thanks Warthawg for your input I did not try what you menitioned since I finally got vcdgear to work. Thanks again TAZ
